Meeting Format
The meeting format varies by week, and we are currently meeting in a hybrid format.
Please note that masks may be required for in-person gatherings.

Time: Wednesday evenings, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
On the first Wednesday of the month, a typical meeting format will be:
Sitting meditation (20 minutes)
Walking meditation (10 minutes)
Sitting meditation (20 minutes)
Talk by a Dharma Teacher
Dharma sharing

The second Wednesday meeting format is as follows:
Sitting meditation (20 minutes)
Walking meditation (10 minutes)
Sitting meditation (20 minutes)
Recitation of the Five Mindfulness Trainings (for more background on the Five Mindfulness Trainings, see the Plum Village website)

The third Wednesday meetings typically have the following format:
Sitting meditation (20 minutes)
Walking meditation (10 minutes)
Sitting meditation (20 minutes)
Reading of our current book, shared by one of our sangha members

After regular sangha gathering has concluded: Discussion of reading or practice, with participants on Zoom and participants in person having separate discussions
The fourth Wednesday is in-person only, and follows a different format that provides space for open sharing and discussion of practice, along with some socializing:
Silent sitting meditation (15 minutes)
Sharing of Mindful Meeting Guidelines (5-10 minutes)
Open sharing and discussion of practice
If the month has a fifth Wednesday, the format is similar to the fourth Wednesday, but will be held on Zoom only.
Sangha members will be encouraged to take turns leading the sessions.
