About This Course

Course Description:

This course introduces design and history of Unix operation system; detailed study of process and file system data structures; and shell programming in Unix. The prerequisite is CSC333.

Important Notice:

    2. Weekly schedule you should know:

        Every Monday & Friday: Online lectures and assignments: 

              - Weekly assignment will due on Monday 11:59PM, and assignment for next week will be posted;

              - Available labs on campus are listed HERE.

        Every Wednesday: Hands-on Lectures:

              - Check the schedule regularly for updated lectures.

              - Be in class on time, extra credit quiz will be assigned and due in 10 minutes at the beginning of the class.

    3. NO late assignment will be accepted.You are expected to do your assignments alone, and there is 10% off each week for late assignments.

    4. Generally, no make-up quizzes; Make-up exams will only be given in extreme documented cases.     

    5. Question about grading must be presented to the instructor within one week after the tests or quizzes have been returned.      

    6. Class attendance is mandatory. You are responsible for the notes and announcements made in the classroom.

    7. All grades will be posted to http://scholar360.com/benedictcollege/. So make sure you have an account. Midterm Exam: 20%   

Final Exam: 25%

A= 90-100 B= 80-89 C= 70-79 D= 60-69 F= 0-59
