Preface xxxi: Acknowledgments:
o 4th paragraph: correct name spelling of Ziggy Bogdanowicz
o Add Steve Korotky and Manish Bhardwaj for their contribution to Section 11.6
* Page 32: In section 2.4.3, the book states: ...in (M:N) protection architectures, the protection resources are shared among many working paths by having N secondary paths protecting M working facilities (N>M). It should have said M secondary paths protecting N working facilities.
Page 85: Figure 4.2(b): links are missing between the (-) of node L and the (+) of node K, and the (-) of node M and the (+) of node L
Page 136: Last sentence of Section 6.7 should say: In the worst case, K1 + d1 primary paths are explored.
Page 141: last paragraph, 3rd sentence should be rewritten as: ...backup paths will be selected that minimize the number of nonshareable edges (weights we), eventually leading to...
Page 143: Figure 7.3: comment for Path p2 of network diagram should say: ... if p1 is the primary
Page 171: Title of subsection 9.5.1 should say: Shared Backup Path Protection Provisioning...
Page 190: Figure 10.4 (iv) should say: suboptimum solution obtained from iii) using....
Page 223: Equation (12.4): the F in the MTTF term and the R in the first MTTR term should not be italicized, and that part of the equation should be written instead MTTF + MTTR
