"Lyme patients from across the country gathered together in protest of the Infectious Disease Society of America's Lyme Diseasepractice guidelines at their annual meeting. Around 80 patients suffering from late stage Lyme Disease, a persistent bacterial infection, gathered in Boston on Saturday.

The IDSA Lyme Disease practice guidelines depict a disease that is easy to diagnose and easy to treat with 3 to 4 weeks of antibiotic therapy. This can be true if the disease is caught very early. The problem is the current testing is only near 40 percent accurate."
