GRANULAR APPLICATION INFORMATION – TREATMENT RATES
Ideal timing is to target 1st instar grub larvae right after egg hatch. For this timing, apply product at peak flight of beetles give or take a couple of weeks.
Product can also be applied more as a rescue treatment later in the season - late summer / fall to control large, harder-to-kill 2nd-3rd instar grubs as homeowners see some damage/have passed on earlier application.
Some like to also try to kill overwintering grubs from the previous season very early in the spring as well; hence, the 3rd timing of application as mentioned w/the other products.
Ideal timing is the first bullet point which should carry through the remainder of the season with additional spot (rescue) treatments if some damage is seen.
gG! GRANULAR - Label rates are 2.5 LBS to 3.4 LBS/ 1000 sf. Recommend 3500-4000 sqft. – 40 lb 14,000-16,000 sqft.
bG! POWDER can be used for both foliar apps to control adult beetles/some weevils and also as a spray on turf to control the beetle grubs, especially scarab grubs. Application rate for bG! is 2 - 4 oz per gallon of water. This translates into approximately 0.25 to 0.35 LBS per 1000 square feet.
