Apple iPad Mini Event

Apple recently announced a series of both overdue and premature product updates, including the 4th Generation iPad, a new, slimmer iMac, and the new, highly anticipated iPad Mini. All of these devices are available from the Apple Online Store at the time of this writing.

While the 4th Gen iPad sports a faster processor and the new iMac is so thin you'll think its picture has been photoshopped, the iPad Mini has definitely stolen the show at this round of Apple updates. The iPad Mini has a 7.9" screen, which is almost an inch bigger than Google's Nexus 7. To keep the product in the same class, the bezel on both sides of the tablet have been greatly reduced, while the top and bottom are still the same size as usual. The iPad Mini has the New iPad's cameras and software, but retain the iPad 2's processor and screen resolution. It should be noted that, while the iPad Mini has the same screen resolution as the iPad 2, the pixel density (or Pixels Per Inch) is much greater, even though it's still no Retina display.

The update to the full-size iPad has angered many Apple users who purchased the "New" iPad when it came out-- which was only about six months ago. However, many "New" iPad users are still planning to purchase the NEW "New" iPad anyways, due to new features like a twice-as-fast processor and Apple's new Lightning connector.
