Subject: A Grand Weekend for IUP Music or Did you get a permit for all of those trombones?

Folks,

Congratulations to all who were involved in this weekend's musical activities.

First, the Trombone Studio Reunion was outstanding! On stage at the concert

on Saturday were 44 trombonists!!! (next time we'll shoot for 32 more!) It was an

exceptional celebration of IUP Music, our terrific faculty and our dedicated alumni.

The jazz performances on Saturday evening were outstanding as well. And, the

guest soloist, Harry Watters was phenomenal! Thank you for sharing this great artist

with out students and community.

And finally, I was proud of the Symphony Band and Wind Ensemble and their performance

yesterday. As I said in the title of this e-mail, it was a "Grand Weekend

for IUP Music"!!
