Thanksgiving 2010 (ImageShack)

Just a Simple Website Fake

I know it's easy, don't be harsh please

Basically, I made a set of fakes set one year from now, focusing on the Thanksgiving 2010 event:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you all know, Jagex released the newest Thanksgiving event yesterday. I don't think it's entirely horrible, but the events are definitely declining Here are some pics from the site:

"Biggest adventure yet"? Now, I know f2p doesn't have much to it, but that's still a big stretch

. And farming is not exactly the skill I would be previewing to potential customers, either

Okay, so at least the event's a fair change from being obsessed with turkeys, but the idea still seems uninteresting

. However, the other updates are pure win, I'm glad they're getting their act together

Okay... Here's where I go "WTF?!" The chefs are so desperate for fresh produce that they'd be willing to ruin the festivities by being so picky with ingredients? But when you ask them if it's unhealthy to eat mutant veggies, they don't seem to care?

But, really? A giant sunflower? I know Jagex has done some ridiculous things before, but...

I guess the reward is pretty fun I still don't know exactly what Betty wanted me to enlarge with it, but, really, it's like a rip off of how the snow globe made snow in the area around you back in 2007. But at least this one's effect will last after the event has ended. If not, this'll be a repeat of the last time they copied a reward and made it worse

Here's what it looks like when you pour the potion:

I guess it's a good reward, the only problem is that people like to spam it:

At least it won't work indoors or at the GE (like it needs more lag) So maybe the reward almost makes up for the boringness of the event itself, but I still think Jagex has been declining since November 6th

I know many pics in those fakes were JPEGed or resized, but that's how it is on the real RS site. So I'm also posting the full-quality pics of anything that I deliberately had to lower the quality of:

The pic you see on the home page:

The pic in the event guide:

Close-ups on the fake plants (yes, they look more fake close-up because, in the original context, you would never have seen them that large anyhow):

All item fakes with corresponding Grand Exchange versions and different amounts of seeds:

(note that the "Juicy Tomato Seeds" and "Corn Seeds" shouldn't be confused with "Tomato Seeds" and "Sweetcorn Seeds". The new seeds are just to keep the event available to free-players)

I was originally debating what to use as the top banner:

Here are close-ups of the Armadyl symbol, re-made from scratch with vectors:

The shield fakes as PNG:

And here is the giant sunflower, in the steps I used to make it:
