We are located in the Earl Mountbatten Building, rooms 1.36, 1.40, 1.41, 1.42, 1.52 and 1.53, Heriot-Watt University.

To find us by bus

Lothian Buses services 25, 34 and 45 run between the city centre and the James Watt Centre on the campus. All these bus routes terminate at the campus, so you can simply sit on the bus until it is clearly no longer going anywhere. Exact fare must be tendered - at present (June 2013) the fare is £1.50 from the city centre, on any route, or you can get a day ticket for £3.50 which you can use repeatedly, on any route. Day tickets can be purchased online in advance of your visit.

The number 25 runs along Princes Street (by Waverley Station) and also serves Haymarket Station. The journey time to Riccarton is approximately 40 minutes from Waverley Station and 30 minutes from Haymarket. Between 8.00 and 18.30 the 25 runs roughly every 10 minutes.

The 34 also runs between Princes Street (by Waverley Station) and Riccarton Campus. The journey time to campus is approximately 45 minutes from Waverley Station.

The 45 runs from St Andrew Square (close to the Bus Station), via the Mound and Tollcross to Riccarton campus, Mondays to Fridays only. The journey time to Riccarton is approximately 45 minutes from St Andrew Square and

30 minutes from Tollcross.

If you are coming to campus for an evening event, the X25 express bus is the fastest option. It leaves from Princes Street (by Waverley Station) between 16.10 and 18.15.

Night buses are also available: The N25 leaves from Waverley Steps on Princes Street and runs via Haymarket.

From Car Park C

When you leave the car park by foot turn right and walk down the avenue until you reach the small roundabout. Turn left and continue along the boundary round, passing the Student Union and then the Estates Building on your left hand side, and round the corner until you reach the first turning on your left. You will now see on your right hand side the Earl Mountbatten Building (red entrance way) and staff car parks. When you enter the building, using the stairs to your left continue up to the first floor. At the top turn right and room 1.53 will be on your left hand side.

To and From Car Park P

If you need to park closer to the Interaction Lab you can make your way to Car Park P for which you need a permit. As you drive into the campus turn right at the small roundabout which take you along the boundary road passing the Student Union and then the Estates Building on your left hand side. Once you round the corner take the first turning on your left and immediately left again where you will see the 'P' sign. You will now see on your right hand side the Earl Mountbatten Building (red entrance way). When you enter the building, using the stairs to your left continue up to the first floor. At the top turn right and room 1.53 will be on your left hand side where you can obtain your car park pass from Sandra Birch.

From Main Reception

Buses will drop you close to the main reception. With the reception desk in front of you walk to the right hand side, down to the bridge link and through into the Hugh Nisbet Building. Go downstairs, where you will see the student shop on the left hand side, and carry on straight through to the Scott Russel Building. At this junction take the first door on your right and carry on until you reach an area with lockers. Turn left here and carry on until you come to a set of stairs, go down one flight of stairs then left into the Earl Mountbatten Building. Carry on along this corridor until you reach a seating area at the end. Room 1.53 is along to the right hand side.
