Our Farm

Located in the heart of Woolwich Township, Hopewell Creek Stables is the ideal place to keep your horse. Our rolling hills, grassy paddocks and wind-protected valley create a comfortable climate for horses whether they are pasture- or stable-boarded.

On- and off-property hacking available... and a pond if you would like to take your horse for a swim.

All paddocks have run-in shelters, water (heated in winter), salt blocks and hay with quality forage.

We offer turnout to meet the needs of both horse and owner. We have a number of paddocks suitable for group turnout and maintain the paddocks with rotation and regular maintenance.

Paddock fencing consists of oak boards and secure metal gates supplemented with electric fencing. The perimeter of our property is fenced in for increased security with the horses. Health and safety of horses is a primary focus at Hopewell Creek Stables.

The two barns have over-sized stalls along with the high ceilings to create spacious areas where even large horses feel comfortable. There are four additional stalls in the front of the riding arena. We offer ample space in the (locked) tack rooms for all your equipment, warm water and tie-ups for washing.

We offer a large grass riding ring for your use and an outdoor sand area suitable for longing.

Our indoor arena is a Cover-All which is very bright, spacious and airy with a white cover to allow for plenty of natural lighting, supplemented with artificial lighting for evening riding (72’ x 180' or 22m x 55m).

We actively participate in a number of disciplines, so if you like to get your horse out...

There is a large sliding door at one end and an overhead door at the other so you may enter on horseback. There are large fans and natural air vents for your riding comfort. The interior has solid wood kickboards and specialized low-dust sand footing for your horses’ comfort and safety.

We also have hacking available on our property (50 acres), on adjacent farm fields and forests, and on the quiet road we live on.

... there is a wonderful group of boarders who have

interests in the hunter ring, jumper ring, dressage ring, going on competitive trail rides, western, entering hunter-paces and eventing too! Lots of opportunities!

We are happy to arrange group events for boarders at various riding levels, interest permitting. We arrange on-site activities, clinics and horse shows so you can have fun without the need for trailering!

Take advantage of available hacking opportunities and enjoy the scenery!

Boarders may bring their own farrier, coach and vet, or can participate in group calls and/or coaching that we arrange.

We also have a 'summer' field that we use for some gallop training and cross-country practice! Great for getting your horse into good fitness for upcoming events, trying a new sport, or just getting your horse used to moving out in the big outdoors!

Trailering is - of course - available for wherever you might want to take your horse.
