This is an online library aims at providing the needed material and resources for researchers for health, mainly regarding research methods and research ethics. Though it is directed mainly to Sudanese researchers, this library is also useful to researchers from other countries, especially the less developed countries.

The department of research has been working since its establishment in 1998 to help achieving its mission in the contribution to science through good research. This is ultimately targeting that these researches and studies are helping to achieve better health to the people of Sudan by providing evidence for best medical and health practices.

Evidence-based policies and interventions are the safeguard that our limited resources allocated to health are well invested. Good evidence can come only from good research, and when we mention good research we look at it in twofold: good science and good ethics.

This is translated by the structure of the National Health Research Council, which is the main national body responsible for health research, as stated in the Public Health Law issued in 2008.

Its technical review committee is directed towards the scientific quality of research, while the ethics committee is to safeguard against that the research participants are protected all through the research process.

We also work on building bridges of collaboration with other academic and research institutes nationally, regionally, and internationally.

In order to achieve these goals, we are proud to present to you this website, which we hope to be the open channel through which we can help the researchers to have easier access to information, literature and to help disseminating their researches’ results, in addition to its main role as means of communication between us.
