I have been doing diabetes clinics seeing newly diagnosed and follow up patients. I assess their Glycaemic control and start medications to help them reach their HBA1C target. I give importance to patient’s life style eating pattern, and preference so that treatment with medications suitable and acceptable to them. I stress the importance of avoiding hypos. I have good experience in the use of established Antidiabetic medications such as metformin, Sulphonylureas, Thiozolidinediones, Meglinitides, Alpha Gluocsidase inhibitors, various types of insulins (Human insulins, Human analogue insulins). I am familiar with latest developments in diabetes including new medications such as DPP-4 inhibitors, GLP-1 analogues and SGLT-2 inhibitors.
I can do following diabetic clinics dealing with Polypharmacy, drug interaction with great emphasis on patient satisfaction.

In-patient Care
As diabetes incidence increasing we get more and more patient in the wards for various problems with diabetes. Their prognosis worse compared to non-diabetics. So I realise the importance of good diabetic control to fasten their recovery from their intercurrent illness. I have gained ample experience in managing diabetic patients in surgical wards, Intensive care units and coronary care unit.
I keep up-to-date with new developments in diabetes. I am very experienced in managing Polycystic ovarian syndrome, Pre diabetes, Impaired Glucose tolerance, Fatty Liver and Non-alcoholic steatosis.
