Col., & JP William Mathwin  Angus  was born 1851 in Gateshead, Durham, England (June Qtr District Gates head Vol. 24 Page 196), and died 1932 in Aged 81.

He married (1) Julia Anne Dutton 1877 in (District Salford Vol. 8d Page 25), daughter of Thomas Dutton. She was born 1853 in Brazil. (British Subject), and died 1882 in Gateshead, Durham (Dec Qtr Dist Gateshead Vol. 10a Page 476) Aged 29.

He married (2) Sarah Graham 6 Nov 1884 at St Peter's Church, Newcastle (District Newcastle Tyne Vol 10b Page 133) (December Qtr), daughter of Edmund Graham.
