JULIAN GARRETT - CANDIDATE FOR RE-ELECTION
Julian Garrett is running for re-election to the Iowa House
in District 25 in the 2012 Republican primary on June 5, and the general
election on November 6. Bob Kaldenberg, of Winterset, is the campaign chairman
this year as he was for the successful campaign in 2010. The district includes all
of Madison County and the Cities of Norwalk and Milo, and the Townships of
Jackson, Otter, Squaw, Virginia, and White Oak, and part of Linn in Warren
County. Last summer Julian walked in
parades in the towns in the district. He is visiting with voters door to door, as he did in 2010. As
a member of the Appropriations Committee Julian helped balance the state budget
for the first time in years. He also was selected to be the floor manager for a
number of bills. He was selected to represent House Republicans on three state
boards and one of the work groups, working on the revision of the mental health
laws.

FARM BUREAU DESIGNATES JULIAN GARRETT
FRIEND OF AGRICULTURE
May 10, 2012- Representative Julian B. Garrett of rural Indianola, has been designated a “Friend of Agriculture” by the Iowa Farm Bureau Political Action Committee (PAC). Garrett is seeking the House District #25 seat that includes all of Madison County and Jackson, Otter, Squaw, Virginia and White Oak Townships and the Cities of Norwalk and Milo in Warren County.
Job Creators Endorse Julian Garrett
Julian Garrett of rural Indianola has been named a
“Friend of Iowa Business” by the Iowa Industry PAC, the political action
committee of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry.
The Iowa Industry PAC evaluates candidates based on their ability to help create jobs in Iowa by supporting a competitive business climate. Criteria used to make the designations include the candidates’ positions on issues of importance to job creators in Iowa.
NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION ENDORSES GARRETT
May 18, 2012- Representative Julian B. Garrett of rural Indianola, has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund for the upcoming June 5 primary. In its endorsement the NRA stated,“Julian Garrett has earned an “A” rating from the NRA-PVF based on his strong pro-gun record. During the 2012 legislative session, he voted in favor of Stand Your Ground/Castle Doctrine Enhancement as well as a right to keep and bear arms constitutional amendment. JULIAN GARRETT is a solid, proven and reliable supporter of your Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage, and he needs your vote to win.”
