Tips

Here you can find some Important tips to trade with Haydel Tools EA

  • The EA displays the GMT Time at the top right corner of the chart. Make sure that time is correct comparing it with the time displayed at http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/, if there is a difference then adjust TIMEZONE_BrokerOffset parameter to compensate that difference. You will probably need to adjust this value when Daylight Saving Time changes take place.
  • Make sure that Daily Pivots are calculated correctly. Daily Pivot Points are calculated based on PIVOTS_GMT_StartHour parameter. The most widely used Pivot Points Levels are calculated at New York Market Close, that would be 22:00 GMT when New York is on Eastern Standard Time (EST) and 21:00 GMT when New York is on Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
  • If you use the EA on different charts of the same pair, then set TRADE_Active to true only in one of those charts and set it to false on the rest, otherwise there will be conflicts between two or more instances of the EA trying to modify the orders on the same pair. Also, if you are using your own Order Manager or Visual Order Editor, set TRADE_Active to false to avoid conflicts, but remember that setting TRADE_Active to false will also disable trailing stop and moving Stop Loss to Break Even.
    • Make sure to set the TRADE_Risk parameter, this is the percentage of the account balance to risk in every trade. For example, if this parameter is 2, then the EA will risk 2% of the account on every trade, this means that the EA calculates a different Lot size for every trade based on the Stop Loss that will be used for that trade, no matter how far or close the Stop Loss is, the EA will calculate the Lot size so that if the Stop Loss is hit, 2% of the account will be lost.
