1981 Formosa 46' Sloop/Cutter

Escapade means to Escape with Adventure which is exactly what this vessel has delivered to our family. For Bob, the owner, the adventure of a life time started in 1981 when he met with Mr. Michael O’Neal of “Glasyachts Sales” in Taipei, Taiwan to personally oversee the construction of the Escapade. From the beginning of construction to the end every detail was attended to. Attention to detail and craftsmanship was maintained to the fullest making sure issues of construction were aborted before they ever had a chance to occur.

Why now?

The dream is not gone nor the passion but the season of life changes. The children I have raised on sailboats are long from the nest and years have rolled along. Aliments of age come and go and I find I do not have enough time and energy to devote to her. With heavy heart I finally admit it is time for her to find a new good home.
