I

Welcome to our website dedicated to the memory of all who served at R.A.F/ P.A.F FALDINGWORTH during the 2nd World War.

Another Memorial Day completed at Faldingworth September 26th 2015 . Dignitaries, veterans and people from America Poland and all over the world gathered at Faldingworth village and then onto the memorial, to see the new memorial plaques dedicated commemorating the 37 aircraft lost from here and the 248 lives lost on those aircraft.

Settled weather made a very enjoyable day.

We would like to thank all our volunteers and helpers who helped make the day succeed.

A big thanks to Market Rasen, and Lincoln A.T.C squadrons for all their help in running the event. Brigg A.T.C for the band.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight did us proud with a Spitfire and Hurricane flypast before the church service and a Dakota flypast to greet the congregation as they exited the church.

After the dedication on the airfield we returned to Faldingworth school for tea and speeches. We were entertained by children from Faldingworth school performing two songs, the children had decorated the school with stories and pictures relevant to the day. We want to thank the school for the use of the building and the performance from the children.

John Blanks a local performer sung "To Those Who Will Not Know Me" a folk song about the polish airmen and their time at Faldingworth.

The song can be heard by clicking the link below

Thanks to all who attended we hope you enjoyed the day.

Anyone with photos of the day we could use on here please email to fald.memorials@btinternet.com
