Sendai Airport (SDJ) is an international airport with regular flights to other large cities in Japan and international flights to neighboring countries and areas including South Korea, China, and Taiwan. The airport is linked to the city by the Sendai Airport Access railway (17-25 minutes from Sendai Airport to JR Sendai Station).

Japan Railways Sendai Station is a major station on the Tohoku Shinkansen (bullet train) line with a 1 hour 40 minutes travel time from Tokyo to Sendai.

Tohoku University, Kawauchi Campus, where the Faculty of Economics and Management is located, is on a forested hill near the Sendai Castle site and across the Hirose river from downtown Sendai; 3 km from JR Sendai Station, 15 min by bus, and 30 minutes walking.
