"Dave, Mathmatics is the most logical thing in all the world" -My dad to me

As always there is a better math page out there then what I offer here. PurpleMath is that place. They are constantly adding new material to their already vast database. The website is easy to navigate and they have excellent explanations and examples.

My Algebra notes:

Quadratic Equation:

The solutions to the previous equation are given by:

The Equation:

is called the determinant of the quadratic.

If the determinant is > 0 there will be 2 unequal real solutions

If the determinant is = 0 there will be a repeated real solution.

If the determinant is < 0 there are 2 complex, non-real solutions

Circles: (related to distance formula)

The first equation is the equation of a circle. The second is the equation of a simple circle. x and y specify the center of the circle and r is Radius

Midpoint of a line:

Given the initial and final points to a line it's midpoint is given by:

Sorry about the unfinished, and somewhat sporadic organization, I've just put these in as I go through my old notecards. I'll put it in a better order later, and finish off the other 30 or so cards I have as well as example problems for each section.
