Temporal Reprojection of Video

I have been toying with the idea on how video would look if reprojected from X,Y and animated through time T, to a static image with X,T. In order to deal with the missing Y dimension, I chose to average all X over Y. In this image every row is one frame (timestep) from the video. Every pixel is the result from an average of all pixels in that column fetched from the rows' corresponding frame. I then applied this technique to a video fetched from a front mounted camera on bybanen (Bergen light rail). Here is the video:
