Misc Renderings

Various drawings, renderings, concepts and finals drawn since floppy discs were floppy.

Good old trusty Thomas Pre-Rig truss, first built in 1983 for the AC/DC 'Flick of the Switch' tour of the USA.

47 x sections holding 12 par lamps each were built for that first tour. 180 of the 770 par cans were gold anodized, the rest were all black.

A giant truss star, originally a lighting rig design, that didn't pan out, then became a Bandit Christmas card

The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. One of my 'ship in a bottle' projects that's always on the back burner and bought out from time to time to experiment. I originally built this 3d model so that it can be modelled for improved lighting. It has always irked me that such a world famous bridge is so woefully lit at night. Flying over the bridge once after taking off from San Francisco airport at night, I was so disappointed that it is virtually invisible by plane at 3000 ft at night. Still one of my bucket list projects.

Some folding backline 4x12 cabinet and amp racks, built for Ted Nugent from Willie Tworks concept

Spiral staircase stage set proposal, wood and brass.

Vertical Axis Wind Turbine proposal, all the heavy hard to fix parts are on the ground, more visually appealing, and it doesn't matter which direction the wind blows.

Church facade in St Augustine, Florida modeled for an outside lighting install and lighting check in pre-vii prior to actual install

Thomas A type (20.5" x 20.5") truss shown rigged with fall arrest lines for safety manual.

A drum kit I created in 3d to use in show renderings. I primarily use drums, amps, keyboards etc for a sense of scale without resorting to using human figures in proposals.

Modular truss. Each ladder is identical but alternate lugs when facing each other ensure a perfect fit. Can be made into various formats of truss depending on the bridge pieces that join the 2 x ladder sections.
