r.i.c.e., a research institute for compassionate economics, is a nonprofit research organization, dedicated to understanding the lives of poor people, especially young children in India, and to promoting their well-being.  Most of our research focuses on early life health in India, and we are committed to sharing what we learn with policy makers and the public.  Learn more about r.i.c.e. at www.riceinstitute.org .
