Study or Don't Study; Either way u can score marks......
Always with you.............
Scoring marks in all exams is something which we all want to do. But often it comes this way, you might have studied well and u know the subject very well. And still u were not able to put it up in the answer paper, in a way of scoring marks, may be b'coz of time lack.
Now, u must understand, it is not what u know gives u marks. Actually it is what is seen on the paper what gives u marks. Even if you know only something about the question, put your answer in such a way that u are an expert. U must have language skills for this.
"Just make the examiner believe you know the answer"
An important thing about Calicut university, on my experience, is that they never read our answers fully. So it is pointless to write everything u know. This should be taken care of while writing essays, 'coz they are real time killers. If you start with an essay and keep on writing everything u know about it, u wont get time to write the rest. You may all be well experienced in this. Proper time management should be done. For this just make sure u are making the verifier understand u've studied and u know the answer. Making them believe, that u know it, is what matters, for scoring marks.
Next thing that i would like to comment is about handwriting. Have you ever checked whether your answer paper is readable or not? Well do that, and u will know even u can read it... It is quite natural to write in high speed and making it unreadable. But how are u gonna score marks when they are not able to read? So write neatly even if it takes time. And be sure to write all headings in big fonts, large enough to make them notice on first look itself. Many of them does not read the content. So what u wrote in content it not a big matter. Just make sure that u wrote all the headings & subheading required.
And about figures. If there is some way or the other for requirement of a figure in the answer be sure it is drawn neatly in your paper. Even if there is not a picture in the text u can draw one your own, if u know the theory. Pictorial representations are easy to understand. It saves their time and also gives them a hint that u know it. But be sure that the figure drawn is 100% correct, as it is shown in text books. If the figure is wrong they wont look at the answer and u would score big zero.
Some tips on writing exams;
Don't try to write everything you know in your answer paper. Time is valuable.
Better start with essays. U can score more with them
Draw all figures neatly with pencil and scale. Just take a little time and you will know the difference.
Please write neatly.
While writing keep in mind what u actually want to do is, make the examiner feel that u know the subject.
