What is a Novella? The word translates as "a little novel". Usually a novella is 20,000 to 40,000 words. This can be as little as 85 pages or as much as 150, although the number of pages can vary drastically with a change of font. An average novel is about 250 pages, though my novels can be over 700 pages because I tend to write large.
