Danijo Self Help Group is located in Odienya village near the town of Rongo in West Kenya.

Transport

National buses from any major town to Kisii, then local transport.

From Nairobi, a reliable bus company called Easy Coach can take you almost all the way to Odienya, but you will buy a ticket for Rongo. Their office is located across from the Nairobi train station. A ticket to Rongo (~7hrs) costs about 800ksh (US$9), and George can pick you up from there. It is another 7km to Danijo School in the village of Odienya, for ~50ksh by motorbike or matatu (local minibus).

If you are arriving from elsewhere in Kenya and want to take the local transport (matatu), the nearest major town in the region is Kisii. You can take the matatu to Kisii, then to Rongo (~100ksh, 1hr), then to Odienya (~50ksh, 5 minutes).
