Curriculum Vitae

I am a Full Professor in the Quantitative area in the Psychology Department at Arizona State University where I am the director of the Mixed Effects Modeling Lab and work with Xinran Liu. Lab alumnae include Andrea Savord (2018-2023), Melissa Wolf (2020-2022) and Jennifer Somers (2018-2021).

My research interests in applied statistics generally fall into three broad areas:

These methodological interests often result in collaborations on empirical research addressing disparities in health and behavioral outcomes, particularly involving underrepresented groups or hard-to-reach populations where sample sizes tend to be more modest.

I completed my Ph.D. in Measurement & Statistics at the University of Maryland in 2015, an MA in Measurement & Statistics at the University of Maryland in 2013, and a BA in Psychology from Wesleyan University in 2011.

Previously, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Methodology & Statistics at Utrecht University in the Netherlands and a Quantitative Methodologist working with the Center for Developmental Science at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
