Csepel Trucks Hungary
These are informational web pages about the Hungarian made Csepel trucks. Csepel Auto was the new factory after World War II that produced trucks for the Hungarian market. The first type was D350 and it was produced under a license from the Austrian Steyr D380 (the east part of Austria was occupied by the Soviets so HUngary actually bought the license from them.) Csepel Engines were used also in buses, tractors, ships, pumps, generators and even in narrow gauge lokomotives. The Csepel Auto factory went bankrupt in the 1990ies after not receiving payment for the bus frames they produced for Russia (via the Hungarian Ikarus Bus Factory).
