Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is to provide students with a wide variety of pedagogical tools to study complex problems. Looking at problems from different angles is an important dimension of creative thinking. To that end, I make extensive use of real-data exercises, business cases and laboratory experiments in additional to traditional lectures covering essential aspects of Finance theories.

Al this is summarized in a recent comment on my course from anonymous students evaluations:

Excellent class overall! Information presented is very fresh in terms of style (multi-methodology approach) as well as in content. Real world use of pertinent articles, websites and up to date, timely, real-time subjects. Not a "dry" dusty, dust off the book class, but very fresh (again)! Thank you Mr. Corgnet!”
