  • Econometrics (ECON 640) — Graduate (MA) introduction to econometrics. Topics include OLS, heteroskedasticity, instrumental variables, time series and panel methods, and MLE. Emphasis on applications and intuition.

  • Macroeconomic Theory (ECON 730) — Graduate (MA) macroeconomic theory. Topics include intertemporal optimization, growth, dynamics, and microfoundations. Covers neo-classical and new-Keynesian models.

  • Microeconomic Theory (ECON 630) — Graduate (MA) microeconomic theory. Topics include consumer theory, the theory of the firm, duality, partial equilibrium analysis, and general equilibrium analysis.

  • Mathematical Economics (ECON 507) — Mathematical methods for economics. Topics include linear algebra, optimization, differential equations and dynamics.

  • Intermediate Macroeconomics (ECON 320) — Standard intermediate macroeconomic curriculum. Topics include: IS-LM, AS-AD, long-run growth, and introduction to open economy macroeconomics.

  • Econometric Applications (ECON 483) — Introduction to econometric methods with an emphasis on applications. Extensive use of the R programming language. Students incrementally develop an original research question, culminating in a quantitative research paper at the end of quarter.

  • International Macroeconomics (ECON 472) — Open economy macroeconomics, international finance and financial crises. Emphasis on applying the standard theory to unstructured real world case studies leading up to final group projects examining a particular real world case in detail.

  • Intermediate Macroeconomics (ECON 301) — Standard intermediate macroeconomic curriculum. Topics include: IS-LM, AS-AD, long-run growth, and introduction to open economy macroeconomics.

  • Intermediate Microeconomics (ECON 300) — Standard intermediate microeconomic curriculum. Topics include: consumer theory, theory of the firm, and introduction to game theory including dynamic games. Extensive use of calculus.

  • Introduction to Macroeconomics (ECON 201) — Standard principles of macroeconomics curriculum.
