Course Description
This course Develops a broad understanding of the role of information technology, systems, and resources, especially in business settings.
Required Text and Supplies (Tentative)

You can purchase your access to the MyMISLab with eText for Essentials of MIS in the Pearson Website via D2L on the first day of class ($100-120). Physical access to a reliable computer with a reliable/stable high-speed internet connection (Chrome Web Browser recommended)
Software required: MS Office 2016, MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Access, etc. (more to be announced if needed)

Relate managerial issues from other courses to information systems
Apply management techniques particular to information systems

Check D2L (assignment, schedule, and discussion board) and AU email EVERDAY
Start working on assignments/projects from DAY ONE
Complete all work on time. (No late submission accepted)
Review textbook and materials regularly
A student is responsible of his/her own personal information technology (IT) infrastructure, which cannot be used as an excuse for failure to complete work
