Microeconometric methods: limited dependent variable models (discrete choice models, count data models, simultaneous equations models), simulation-based methods.

Applied microeconometrics: applied labour, education and household economics (children and adolescents development and health, time use, gender gaps in time use).

Recent funded projects

2021-2025: member of the Bologna Unit (principal investigator Giulio Ecchia) of the H2020 European project COhort cOmmunity Research and Development Infrastructure Network, COORDINATE, coordinated by the Manchester Metropolitan University.

2020-2022:  PRIN 2017 project At the Roots of Child Development: On the Role of Parental Beliefs, Preferences and Engagement. Single research unit (Department of Economics, University of Bologna) including Maria Bigoni (P.I.), Margherita Fort, Daniela Iorio and Chiara Monfardini, with the scientific collaboration of  Annalisa Guarini and Alessandra Sansavini of the Department of Psychology of the University of Bologna. The research group developed the MinUTo - MindUs Together project.

2018-2019: principal investigator of the Bologna Unit of the  H2020 European project European Cohort Development  Survey, ECDP, leading to the Growing Up in Digital Europe (GUIDE) project, coordinated by the Manchester Metropolitan University.
