Debugging Server Queries

While in debug mode, CheckValve will create a detailed log of each server query for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Use the following steps to enable debug mode and create the log:

    1. On the main screen, long-click on the Server Information title at the top of the screen. After a few seconds, you will see the message Debug mode enabled.

    2. Tap the menu button and select Refresh to re-query all of the servers in the list.

    3. Tap the menu button and select Show Debug Messages.

    4. When viewing the log, tap the Dismiss button (or back button if your device has one) to return to the main screen.

Notes:

    • The server list must be refreshed (step 2) because the log is only created if debug mode is enabled at the time the queries are run.

    • The text of the log is selectable, and can be copied to the device's clipboard.

    • The log is overwritten by each subsequent refresh while debug mode is enabled.

    • Debug mode can be disabled by long-clicking the Server Information title again.

    • Debug mode is disabled by default, and does not remain enabled if CheckValve is closed and re-opened. It must be enabled each time you want to use it.
