Wan Shun Street

The Disappearance of Wan Shun Street (環順街)...

The building to the left of the bottom-most photo (dated 29 Nov 2014) was the location of

my family's factory:

Hang Hing Metal Manufacturer (恒興五金製品廠)

Ground Floor,

15 Wan Shun Street,

Hung Hom, Kowloon,

Hong Kong.

Back then my family was living in a tiny apartment opposite to the factory: Mezz Floor, 18 Wan Shun Street.

The Wan X streets were private ones, meaning that they were NOT cleaned regularly by the government!

I don't remember any self-initiated street cleaning by the residents as well. :)

The photo on the right is the back of the tall building under construction, viewed from Sung On Street instead of from Wan On Street.

Update: 10 Jul 2017

It seemed that this building was assembled using concrete

modules! I had seen a lorry carrying one concrete module into

this street. That might explain why it could rise so fast!

Photos on the left side were taken at the intersection

of Wan On Street (環安街) and Wan Shun Street.

The new building replaced 3 streets: Wan Fuk Street (環福街),

Wan Shun Street and Wan King Street (環景街).
