Biography

Hi, my name is Niki Wilson, and I am one of the newest members and the only female so far, in the 5Klub. I am about half the age of the rest of the members and started running the summer of 2007. I am a student, sister, daughter, friend, dog lover and veggie. I have been a vegetarian for 8 months now and I plan on maintaining this lifestyle forever. I enjoy listening to my iPod, working out at the gym and running in the rain.

Goals

I plan on continuing my workout regimen, with my trainer/sister, Chrissy and work out 4 times a week. I will continue to save animals one day at a time through my veggie eating habits and am always looking for ways to cut out other unhealthy things out of my diet. My overall lifestyle goals are to workout, eat healthy and continue training as a runner.

My running goals for 2008 are as follows:

• 1. Continue to run on a regular basis.

  2. Improve my running time from the previous race.

  3. Finish a 5K in under 30 minutes.

  4. Compete in the 5Klub’s monthly race.

1. Lastly, BEAT ALL THE OLD MEN IN THE KLUB!

Accomplishments

I ran my first 5K for the National Kidney Foundation of Florida at Epcot, Saturday, March 8th, 2008. It was everything I thought it would be and more! I gave it my all and ran most of the race even through the hurricane like winds and bone-chilling temperature. Wow, was it cool! I look forward to making this list longer as time progresses and I have more experience running races.
