It is our honor and pleasure to announce two projects to capture in part the great legacy of Grandmaster Son. These projects are:
A collaborative photographic presentation
An instructor lineage document
Both projects are described in more detail below:
Collaborative Photographic Presentation
Description
This will be an informative tribute and memorial of Grandmaster Son and the many relationships that define his tremendous influence and contributions to Tae Kwon Do. Photos, videos, quotes, anecdotes, and memories will be thematically woven into about a 45 minute multi-media presentation. The most likely format will be MS PowerPoint.
Approach
Material will be collected from anyone willing to contribute. The presentation will be first shown at Summer Black Belt Camp this year. This presentation will not be copyrighted and will be available at cost to anyone requesting a copy. It is likely that material will continue to surface for several years, so future revisions are likely though they may not necessarily be shown at camp.

Tae Kwon Do Instructor Lineage
Description
This will be Grandmaster Son's Tae Kwon Do family tree of who taught who. GM Son is at the top. From him, several first generation students became instructors who went on to create their own lineages of instructors. This is intended to be a fun and educational project. It's completeness and accuracy is very dependent on wide contributions since the Chung Do Kwan family is very large and multi-generational.
Approach
At Summer Black Belt Camp, one dorm activity room will have its wall covered in paper. To jump start the project, everyone will be invited to mark their connections to GM Son through their instructors on the paper. We are not yet sure how this will be transcribed into portable, sharable media that can be edited as the family tree is built over the course of a year or more - suggestions welcome! At present, this notice is a heads-up that we are planning this activity for camp.
