3D-models from photos

These models are each made from ~400 D-SLR photos, processed in Photoscan (from Agisoft), with 5-to-40 control points.

Each requires about a half a day's fieldwork and 1.5-to-2 weeks' work on a powerful computer.

1) Stump (after logging) of a mature myrtle beech (Nothofagus cunninghamii), Styx Valley, Tasmania.

2) Stump (after logging) of a senscent Eucalyptus regnans (swamp gum), Styx Valley, Tasmania.

Width at 1.3 metres off the ground was 3.74 metres.
