POSTERS AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN ITHACA, NEW YORK: Wegmans, Autumn Leaves, Buffalo Books, the Sciencenter, and the Paleontological Research Institute and at fundraising poster-signing events hosted by nonprofits, PTAs, and youth groups.

Inspired by their love for the region, author Sandy Wold and artist Camille Doucet, with the financial sponsorship of the Center for Environmental Sustainability (CES, http://ces-ithaca.org/) and a $200 grant from the Alternatives Federal Credit Union, co-created the Cayuga Basin Bioregion Map (c2002), a region (usually) defined by its local watershed boundaries.  Wally Woods, cofounder of the CES, also lended important background support to the project.  Located in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York, the Cayuga Basin Bioregion is actually a subwatershed of the Oneida watershed and is further distinguished by its unique geology, natural history, seasonal cycles, local economy, and historic sites (e.g., indigenous peoples, the Underground Railroad, and the Women's Suffrage Movement, ...).

This printed map measures 22x28 inches and connects locals and visitors to the beauty, richness, and unique qualities of our bioregion.  This map is great for home, work, or classroom and looks great laminated, mounted on a plak, or matted and framed in gold painted wood.  The second edition was printed in June 2010.  Look for poster signing events (June/Ithaca Festival, September/Back to School, December/Christmas, and April/Earth Day and May/Water Week).  The original watercolor painting is displayed at the Paleontological Research Institute in Ithaca, New York.  For more info, write sandra dot wold at gmail dot com.
