I joined the Department of Department of Geomatics at the College of Engineering, the University of Alaska Anchorage in Fall 2013 and my area of interest is Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographic Information Science (GIScience). My research has been published in the ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing, and fully referred IEEE conference proceedings. I have received the honor of the outstanding PhD student Award at George Mason University in 2011, and have been awarded the prestigious Robert E. Altenhofer Memorial Scholarship Award by American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing in 2010.

I completed my PhD. in Earth Systems and Geoinformation Science at George Mason University in 2011. I hold a Master of Science degree from the University of Maine in Spatial Information Science and Engineering, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Wuhan University in Surveying Engineering.
