BLOOMSDAY BY OLLI

This website is to support Bloomsday readings of James Joyce's Ulysses

and related activities by members of

the Osher Lifetime Learning Institute

(OLLI) in Washington, DC

On June 16 each year we join groups all over the world to pay homage to James Joyce and to savor his handiwork.

The pleasure of tasting forbidden fruit lingers since Ulysses was once banned in English-speaking countries and a gathering such as ours in Washington DC would have been on the hot side of the law during the decade from 1923 to 1933.

2017 BLOOMSDAY BY OLLI CELEBRATION:

Current details will be posted regularly on the JUNE 2017 WORKSHOP AND READING page of this website.
