Exodus 30, 31

Potential Discussion Questions:-

Concluding Remarks:-

  • Again - we have such an easy access to God, today, that we take it for granted and often come to God with a "lax" demeanor! In those times, not following proper protocols to access God, resulted in DEATH!
  • You read these passages and you wonder "Wow God was coming to live among them!". Well, it's even better today - not just God (The Holy Spirit) lives in / amidst the Church Body on earth, but also we Christians have direct access to God, unlike in those times where anyone who tried to go past the "veil" of holy of holies (Exodus 26:31-35), to meet God, would drop dead (i.e., Leviticus 16:2)!
  • So, be strengthened in your spirit, that God is with us Christians, amidst us, all the time, in our journey on earth. In-fact, God is leading us Christians in this journey, out of this broken-sinful earth into the new-heaven / new-earth, which is to come, where there will be "no more sorrows, no more pain" (Revelation 21:4).
  • Many reject God saying that they do not like the idea of a God who gives "dos" and "don'ts" to people, along with punishments for disobedience (here at times it was deaths and plagues). Yes, one has to accept the reality that there is a God who does gives "dos" and "don'ts" to people, along with terms of punishments on disobedience. Even, though we have a lot of freedom in Christ, today (unlike those OT times), God still holds everyone accountable sooner or latter. On an encouraging note, God gives "dos" and "don'ts" (aka Laws) because He loves us (https://devos20xx.blogspot.com/2019/02/why-did-god-give-us-laws.html), perfectly! God "dos" and "don'ts" (aka Laws) is actually supposed to "free" us and NOT make us feel as if we are under some dictatorship.
