Research

My research interests are focused on three different fields:

a) Cognitive Psychology of Attention & Memory, specifically in Visual Search and related areas, in the life span, mainly in children. Cognitive Neuroscience of attentional and working memory processes during development, Neurological deficits related to Attention and Memory in childhood, and neuroimaging studies that may give us a picture about the functioning of attention and working memory in children and adults.

b) Methods in general and cognitive psychology as well as in meta-analytic techniques that may also be used as fundamental tools for the study of cognitive psychology in humans.

c) As part of my collaborations as an expert in methodology, Economic Psychology, and Behavioral Finance as well as in related areas (neuroeconomics) have become part of my research interests. They are also intimately related to decision-making processes in cognitive psychology.
