St John's 的教室外门是锁着的， 出入都要刷卡， 所以请家长们务必准时到。 1：45 请送孩子到学校， 2：00 校门关起。 迟到的家长要和值日家长连系开门。 所以拜托家长们平时送孩子去学校要早15 分钟。


值日的大爱家长们：

每个周日我们需要两位家长值班来关照孩子们。 一位在室内， 一位在室外。 请在第一天和我们的小青妈妈讲您在哪天可以为学校服务。 @小青

Congratulations to our very own Berlen for receiving a scholarship from the SCCCS!

Bakersfield Chinese School is a non-profit organization, with the goal of teaching Chinese language and culture. Currently, we use HanYuPinYin and MeiZhou Chinese as our textbooks. Classes start with Pinyin and cultivate students’ ability in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Mandarin Chinese.


Bakersfield Chinese School is a member of Southern California Council of Chinese Schools (SCCCS). Students are eligible to apply scholarships and attend competitions organized by SCCCS.


The school has been receiving strong support from Bakersfield First Presbyterian Church, Chinese Christian Church of Bakersfield (CCCoB), Chinese American Association of Kern County (CAAKC), Chinese Women club, and local Chinese community. The school greatly appreciates their continuous support.


Bakersfield Chinese School admits children at age of 5 and up.

·        New school year starts on the first Sunday of the regular school week (Check School Calendar on the left, or class dates in the school regulations section). 

·        School on-site registration starts at 1:30pm, and classes will begin right after registration at 2:00 PM.

·        A new introductory class will be opened for the new school year for beginning-level students.

·        Students with certain Chinese foundation are welcome to transfer to our classes. Transferring students ought to contact the school and arrange an interview before enrolling. Please contact principal for interview.
