Q1: Why haven't you continued playing xxx?
A: I allow my viewers to control what I play by making requests. The more requests for a game, the sooner I make more footage for it.
Q2: When are you going to post more footage?
A: When I get a chance.
Q3: How come you are so bad at xxx?
A: If it's an LP, I'm playing it blind. So the first video is the first ten minutes of learning how to play.
Q4: What do you record with?
A: I record with Fraps and render with Camtasia Studio. Both are full price versions.
Q5: How can I be an LPer?
A: Have the software/hardware capable to record the video/sound/your voice and practice narrating and rendering footage.
Q6: I requested a game, when are you going to play it?
A: That depends on how underrated I think the game is, which you can argue with. Regardless of that though, it all boils down to a random selection from a very big list of games.
Q7: What are you going to post next?
A: Check out the channels calendar to see the current plan for each channel. For a look further ahead, the LP Continuation List shows how popular each game is currently.
Q8: What is a "lockdown" on your LP Continuation List?
A: It simply means any game that gets above the lockdown can no longer compete for position. It is wherever it lands.
Q9: Can I request a game more than once?
A: Not until I have uploaded a brand new set of footage. If you request twice in the same request cycle, I will ignore it or tell you you have requested it twice.
Q10: What if I just make a new account and request from there?
A: There are at least a dozen ways to tell if an account is a clone. If a clone requests something, the game becomes frozen until an account with a "lot" of video views requests it.
Q11: What is a request cycle?
A: It is however it long it takes for a game to get its first request all the way to the footage of the next request set being posted.
Q12: And what is a request set?
A: It's a continuation of the footage of a game. It is a minimum of 9 videos of additional footage.
Q13: Why don't you just finish all the games you start?
A: Some games do not end, and many other get highly repetitious after time. I tend to finish my inital set when repetition starts in, or when I've completed the minimum of 5 videos of footage.
Q14: Why do you show menu navigation and control setup at the start of many of your LPs?
A: Because, as rare as it might be, some people are interested in it. Knowing if a game is highly customizable is useful. Besides, I usually give annotations on where to go to skip it.
Q15: Why are you so awesome?
A: As strange as it may seem, this question actually bugs me a little bit. But the answer probably has something to do with having a good sense of what people want to see.
Q16: Do your viewers ever annoy you?
A: Usually only when they make suggestion on how I play in a way that makes it seem like a demand, or when they say something that either uses or merits the phrase, "no offense".
Q17: What would you consider to be the perfect viewer/contributor?
A: Someone that participates in discussions, requests games they truly enjoy, and tries to be helpful to others whenever possible.
Q18: How come all your videos say they are HD when they aren't and you have more ratings/comments than views?
A: Soon after the release of a video, HD versions and accurate view counts are generally not available. That's an issue with YouTube, not me.
Q19: Can you please make footage of xxx XBOX game and xxx PS3 game?
A: No I only own a PC and therefore can only play games that run on a computer.
Q20: Will you add me as a friend or give me your Skype information?
A: The only thing the friend system does in YouTube is make it easier for you to spam my shared with you folder that I do not look at. And I don't have a lot of time to spend with individual viewers. Sorry.
Q21: Can you help me with my sound recording?
A: I used to try to help people with this problem, but different hardware combined with different operating systems allow infinite possibilities on correcting sound. I can no longer help with sound issues.
Q22: How come you never play multiplayer games?
A: Well I do sometimes, but I only enjoy playing them with real life friends. And most of my friends are too broke to buy a copy of the game or have sold me their copy.
Q23: Where do you get all of your games?
A: I purchase most of my games on Amazon for the lowest dollar amount I can find. I also often buy a game from one of my friends for $10 and sell it back to them for the same when I'm done.
Q24: How can you afford to do that? Why don't you upload footage more?
A: The answer to both of those is I have a full time job.
Q25: What is a pointer video?
A: I encourage people with reserved gaming interest to subscribe to my main channel. From there, pointer videos will announce sets of gameplay footage posted on my sub channels.
Q26: How can I request something?
A: Simply state, "Please do more of xxx." or , "I request more of xxx." in my channel, a PM, or on a related video. I read 99% of all of that... eventually.
Q27: Whatever happened to SidraWing?
A: We decided that it was simply best for us to move on completely. A friendship was not possible after such an intense relationship. This is something that is fairly easy to expect, but there was no harm in trying.
Q28: When is your next live screencast or broadcast?
A: Saturday at 2:30 PM PST, 10:30 PM GMT... maybe. I have really been disinterested in BlogTV as of late.
Q29: Hey your voice sounds exactly like Ray Romano/Homer Simpson/Grif from Red vs. Blue/Mind of Freeman guy/Seth Rogan. Why is that?
A: While I can see the occasional similarities, I most definitely do not sound like any of them anywhere close enough for comparison.
Q30: Why do you hate steam/other forms of DRM?
A: Because they hog system resources, they sit there examining your computer, and the formation of Steam effectively screwed me out of three copies of Half-Life I owned but no longer had CD Keys.
