Head Coach High School/Li'L Trojans WC

Coach Grimm (Left) helped establish the Trojans back in 2008.  He began wrestling at Lanphier High School his sophomore season under the direction of Hall of Fame Coach Jim Gardner.  He was a state qualifier and represented Team Illinois in Freestyle.  From there he went on to wrestle at Illinois College under Tom Rowland.  He compiled over 100 varsity wins, 2x Conference Champion, 3X Team Conference Champs, finished in the top 10 as a sophomore, earned All-American honors as a Junior, and held the #1 ranking as a Senior until an unfortunate injury ended his career.  He was inducted to the IC Hall of Fame in 2009 and IHSA/NFHS Coach Of The Year In 2020.   He began his coaching career at Jacksonville High School in 1996 (13-8-1).  From there he went on to coach 10 years at Chatham Middle School where he coached 72 State Qualifiers, 26 State Place Winners, and 7 State Champion.  To date at Auburn he has a 308-128 career dual meet record, 5 Team Regional Championships, 3 Team Sectional Championships, 2 IHSA Team Elite 8, 1 IHSA 4th place, 52 Individual State Qualifiers, 14 State Place Winners and 2 State Champs.

Coach Wilmarth (Left) was a staple in the Chatham Wrestling program for 20+ years. He helped turn this program into a dominate force for the CS8.  They won 14 conference titles (13 in a row), 9 regional titles, had multiple state qualifiers and state placers.  He began his wrestling career in Byron, Il where he was a runner up.  He has brought a wealth of knowledge to the program since joining in 2009.  He was one of the influences that helped establish this program back in 2008.

Coach Trautvetter wrestled for 12 years at Chatham, where he wrestled for Coach Grimm for a few of those. He then went on to coach at Jacksonville Middle School for 4 years where he fell in love with coaching and giving back to the sport.

Coach Yagow is in his 5th year as an assistant coach for our Jr. High program.  Jimmy has come through the program as an athlete and is now able to give back to the sport he loves.  Jimmy understands what the expectations are for each level and gives his time to all of them when he is able.
