AWAKEN THE WARRIOR
THE PAINTINGS IN THIS SERIES DEPICT A WARRIOR HOLDING A SPEAR AND OR SHIELD.
The warrior is the psychic part of us that lives beyond thought, that knows things through instincts rather than analysis. The warrior represents the animal instincts that are hardwired into our brain and nervous system. When people talk about that feeling in their gut, or going on impulse, they are talking about the warrior. A warrior doesn't analyze; he takes action, moving with the speed of his awareness in whatever direction his or her soul wishes to travel. The warrior helps you read people by their actions, sniffing out danger zones of any situation, the warrior sees with his ears and feels with her smell. The warrior gathers information using all five senses to there fullest. Our senses are sensors for the body, continuously feeding knowledge to the brain. When the warrior part of us is dull or never initiated the world can become a dangerous place. We need the warrior to get through the grind of daily living, to make decisions in the moment without letting fear interrupt. Remember, fear will disrupt and corrupt your most natural feelings and thoughts.
Before the advent of modern technology, invention of road signs and compasses, all human beings had to rely on was only their instincts. If they needed to find new herbs for a cure, they would allow themselves to be directed through the forest to the appropriate source, a root, plant, bark, bush. On a hunt, they would follow the impulses that arose in their bodies, the subtle messages that led them to their prey. Each situation called for a different response. In order to survive, you had to be aware of your surroundings at every living moment, alert to voices that instinctively guided you. There were no news stations to prepare you for the arrival of a hurricane or a deadly plague. Intuition was what kept you alive.
Nowadays, instead of responding to life instinctively using the body sensors like warriors, we have machines that do the feeling for us. With the influx of televisions, computers and video games, many of our psychic skills are no longer called upon, and have drifted back into the subconscious. Many of us have become content with others doing the thinking for us.
In most primitive cultures, powers such as telepathy and astral projection were as common in everyday life as verbal communication is today. Now these talents have become obsolete. Many of us consider this to be a product of evolution, but when you look beyond our fancy inventions and into the heart of modern culture, it is obvious that something great has been lost. For every action, shall be a cost.
Since we have become city dwellers, many of us have lost connection with the warrior. When this part of us is repressed, our decision making loses its accuracy and quickness. We make easy targets for all sorts of invasions, from unfortunately rape to deadly viruses, wreckage to poisonous fears that disease the minds positive thoughts continuously. We don't even know what's in the food we eat or where it comes from, Beware!
It was not long ago that we were hunting for food, using the light provided by the moon and stars to capture our prey. We need to have a practice that keeps the warrior active, that keeps us breathing from our bellies, that keeps our animal senses alert to all sudden opportunities that help us to stay on our souls path.
The impulse to chase animals, stalk through the forest and fight opposing tribes like warriors still move through our bodies. When we don't have a release for these energies, they spring out of us unconsciously and harm us rather than protect and support our growths potential. Yesterday is forever gone, Tomorrow has not arrived, there's only Now. Awaken the Warrior
