As of November 2008, entry HX-2, who claims to be descended from William Hoskins of Taunton, MA / Henry Hoskins of Ireland, tested through Ancestry.com. His results matched the “Anthony Hoskins Signature”. Obviously, this is exciting and extremely interesting news. This indicates that two individuals, who shared a common Y-DNA ancestor after the advent of surnames, migrated in a seemingly independent manner to Puritan New England in the 1600’s. More specifically, the Hoskins family of Taunton and the Hoskins family from Windsor shared a common male progenitor.
