So u have just opened the box of your brand new shiny android G1 phone,

you look at him and it stairs at you back...

How to ulock your android dream for the first time

First of all to unlock the device at the first time u will need a 3G sim card and a valid gmail account.

Insert the sim into the device and power it on.

- When it will finish booting u will see a picture of a droid and a finger pointing to press on it

- press the menu key and tap the APN Settings option

- Then press the menu again and choose NEW APN

- give the a Name to your APN, Orange for example and under APN write: internet

- for Cellcom under APN write: Cellcom

- now save the apn and return to the main screen

- tap the droid, and enter your gmail account details when asked for.

- now your phone should confirm your registration and open

- it is adviseble to delete the APN setting after you finished opening the phone

in order not be charged additionally for the 3G data connection by the operator.

- you can do it via Setting -> Wireless Controls -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names.

Now your phone is unlocked u can use it with or without the sim :)
