Walking Around My Room

Reconfigured Furniture in apartments and hotel rooms (2005)

Prior to developing of Gallery Space Recall (2006) I made several artworks that involved remembering walks and reconfiguring furniture to build an approximate, scale-model of the terrain, and all the while thinking of Lucy Gunning's Climbing Round My Room (1993) and Xavier de Maistre's Voyage Around My Room, (1790). The following were made in Brussels and Banff. At one point, there was a plan to walk with collectors, returning to their homes, offices or galleries to reconfigure their furniture.
