International Trade Data

• Bilateral Trade Flows

1. Direction of Trade Statistics (DOTS), International Monetary Fund: Bilateral trade data starting on 1960 (based on COMTRADE)

2. COMTRADE: Original Source for builateral data; download restrictions

• Gravity and Cultural Variables

  1. GeoDist (CEPII): Contains two Datasets: Geo_cepii.dta with geographical variables for each country, and dist_cepii.dta, with distance variables and a few measures of cultural similarity

  2. Gravity (CEPII): gravity dataset for all world pairs of countries (1948-2006).GDP and populations obtained from World Bank Development Indicators (WDI)
