President's Welcome
Howdy y'all!
Welcome to The Associated Chemistry Teachers of Texas, ACT2. We are dedicated to improving the quality of chemical education throughout the state of Texas. Our members and officers present at CAST (Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching) presented by STAT. We host local chapter meetings for free in the DFW and Houston areas. Every two years we put on a state-wide chemistry conference, the ACT2 Biennial Conference. During the conference, teachers share labs, activities, technology integration, demonstrations, etc. If you haven't been to our Biennial conference, you need to check it out this summer!!!
When you join ACT2, you will receive three newsletters, "the reACT2ant", per year, and you will be included on a very active e-mail list that will keep you abreast of all upcoming events. If you are interested in joining ACT2, click on the membership page located in the header at the top. The price is only $10/year and if you attend a biennial conference a two year membership is included! If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail me.
